Bruce is the Data Centre Operations Manager at Primus Telecom in Melbourne. Prior to this he was a member of the data centre team at the newly commissioned Hewlett Packard Data Centre in Melbourne. Bruce has a deep and diverse background in facilities management, with an emphasis on Data Centres.
In a previous life, he was a commissioned officer in the Royal Australian Navy. Since leaving the military his career path has diversified from logistics into generalised facility management and now data centre operational management.
Whilst at Primus Telecom, he has been responsible for a complete upgrade of all electrical systems, cooling systems and building an extension to the facility. He has an acute understanding of how each facet of the data centre fits together and what happens when one of the components fail.
His qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Logistics Management from Monash University, Graduate Diploma in Resource Management and a Bachelor of Business. He has also completed a number of management courses.
